VIE – Supply Officer (d/f/m)

Definition VIE

The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) program is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function. We are looking for highly motivated graduates aged 18 to 28 years, who are citizens of the European Union (all E.U. nationals, plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein). You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Your tasks and responsibilities

In this position you will actively support the flow of materials to Airbus & our external customers and find solutions to fulfil customer demands on Systems & Equipment parts.

You have knowledge in supply chain and will be an active player in ensuring the correctness of the requirements communicated to suppliers and develop creative ideas to satisfy short term demands.

You will contribute to all interactions with suppliers such as placing and following up orders, anticipating production disturbances and reviewing recovery plans.

You will maintain regular communication with the internal customers about progress of the order. You like working on short term demand in a reactive and proactive approach and think out of the box to propose solutions.

You will propose and support internal improvement activities to enable the operations to reach more mature standards.

Desired skills and qualifications

You have a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering or qualification as a Technician or a commercial background and you have initial professional experience.

Ideally, you have experience in customer service and sales/purchasing, and also in project management.

You are proficient (or highly motivated to learn it) in SAP/R3 and Google Workspace.

You have a negotiation level of English

You are a good team player with excellent communication skills, and are perceptive and customer-oriented.
