Social Media Strategist Internship Job in Mississauga, ON at CGC Inc.

CGC Inc. is currently recruiting for a Social Media/Marketing Co-op Student to work within our Sales and Marketing Teams. This position reports directly to the Senior Director, Sales.
With an interest and passion in digital media and communications, this position is responsible for assisting CGC Sales and Marketing leaders with developing our social media strategy. The primary purpose is to help improve CGC’s overall brand awareness by leveraging various social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
Assist with developing CGC’s social media strategy in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
Identify top influencers on social media channels for Building Materials, Architectural, and Design communities; and provide recommendation on creating partnerships with influencers
Identify top social media channel opportunities using data and analytics; and provide recommendation on the best channels to leverage
Track and analyze social media analytics, and build performance baseline targets
Research social media best practices and incorporate into recommended strategy
Other Marketing activities as needed
Working towards bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related program
Previous professional social media and marketing experience is considered an asset
Must have familiarity with social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.)
Self-starter with very strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities
Strong communication (verbal and written), and decision-making skills
Must be creative, with the ability to write clearly and concisely
Must demonstrate the ability to work with attention to detail and accuracy
Must be a people and results-oriented individual who incorporates and emphasizes safety and quality in all aspects of the daily work environment.
