Senior Multimedia Designer

Dentsu Creative is seeking to appoint a Senior Multimedia Designer. Who will be responsible for designing and producing attractive rich media multimedia content according to platform specifications. The position is based in Cape Town and will report directly to the Digital Creative Director. Dentsu Creative is part of the global dentsu network. Our clients include Pick n Pay, Old Mutual, TFG, Toyota, Stodels, Discovery and Budget Insurance locally and Waitrose, John Lewis, Orange, RBS Bank and Spinneys globally. We have offices in Cape Town, Johannesburg, London, Dubai, Shanghai and Hong Kong.

Job Description:
Key responsibilities:
Develop rich media designs for multi-platform digital projects, presentations and social media platforms under the direction of the Digital Creative Director, Art Directors and key Digital Editors.

Determine how best to represent a concept/storyboard visually keeping on brief and work closely alongside the Art Director

Designing and producing attractive multimedia content according to platform and social media specifications with accuracy

Creating digital images, video animation, and textual animations.

Creating original artwork for digital image processing and animation.

Creating multi format animated sequences such as gifs, mp4’s & banners

Recording, editing, and encoding audio files.

Assist the digital Art Director on shoots for various digital mediums and social aspect ratios

Research and prepare media assets in support of new design concepts and create working prototypes and storyboards

Repurpose existing ATL elements and templates as required.

Keep abreast of industry design developments, trends and technology. Share information, design and campaign ideas with team members and divisional design teams.

Excellent communication skills and enjoys working within teams across accounts

Required skills:
University-level education in digital design or equivalent work experience.

At least 3 years’ experience working in a design studio or creative agency.

Excellent Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator skills, and Indesign skills

Strong Experience with Adobe After effects, Premiere Pro and Video editing best practices

An understanding of user interface best practices

Ability to interpret brand guidelines & design principles for online media.

Experience working on campaign photo and video shoots

Advantageous:
Experience with Figma, Sketch and Invision applications

Presentation design within Keynote and Powerpoint

UI UX, Front-end web experience and strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3 and Wordpress
