Job DescriptionThe Senior Image Manager supports and inspires a team of Art Directors in producing innovative compelling photography, video, and social assets. He/she is a strong leader who proactively provides support and partnership to enhance and grow Nordstrom’s Creative community, culture and capabilities.

Responsibilities include:

Contribute to the long-term Creative strategy and vision for RACK.

Develop clear image direction and standards for RACK to achieve highest recognition, recall and relevancy with target customers.

Deliver and present direction, concepts, ideas and critical assessment in a clear, compelling and concise manner.

Lead a team of Art Directors to develop and execute innovative creative concepts, in line with Creative strategy and vision, to deliver on marketing objectives within timelines, resources and budget allocated.

Cascade strategy, vision, and purpose to inspire and motivate team towards common and individual goals.

Manage and develop team to achieve team and individual growth and success, and ensure resources are optimized against business priorities.

Collaborate effectively with partners within Creative and across the organization.

Work directly with Production to support efficiency, organization, and process that benefits the team and outcomes.

Specifics experience and skills required:

Bachelors degree in Fine Arts or equivalent experience.

Minimum 10 years experience in art direction for fashion and/or applicable field.

Portfolio demonstrating ability to create purpose-led imagery that conveys brand proposition, product offering, cultural relevancy, and resonates with target audience.

Experience concepting and driving brand/marketing creative strategy across channel (digital, print, video, 3D-space, etc.).

Experience collaborating to support editorial/content strategy.

Strong interest and background in social media and social strategy.

Excellent research skills: ability to intuit and absorb relevant reference materials that make for thoughtful and unique ideas and creative executions.

Set and environmental design expertise.

Knowledge of video editing, new media and music and/or sound design.

Proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Bridge, CaptureOne and other software.

Leadership skills and experience; proven ability to effectively guide, mentor and inspire individuals and teams.

Strong attention to detail, organization and problem-solving.

Excellent written and verbal communication.

Customer-centric, people-first mindset.

Never-ending curiosity, knowledge of, and enthusiasm for fashion and the creative/intellectual universe that surrounds it.
