Research & Policy Analyst (2023 – 0145) Job at ICTC – Remote

Our Research & Policy team is looking for a Research & Policy Analyst to join them! Are you looking for a new challenge? This role will join a team that takes a holistic view of the digital economy, including examining human well-being, social, community, and environmental impacts.

The role conducts mixed-methods research on topics including labour market trends, transformative technologies, investment and trade, and sustainability. Are you a critical thinker, familiar with research methods? Are you naturally curious, and keen to understand the many factors impacting our evolving economy, labour market, and society? If so, this role may be for you!

What will you be doing?

Designing and using primary research tools like interview guides, survey questionnaires, and focus group materials and facilitation guides.

Hosting and supporting focus groups, roundtables, and advisory committees.

Finding themes in qualitative and quantitative data.

Telling compelling stories with data.

Reading and synthesizing secondary information from other researchers, Statistics Canada, and other data sources.

Writing clear and engaging reports, articles, and other written materials.

Developing relationships with community partners and industry partners.

Managing project timelines and concurrent deadlines responsibly.

Representing ICTC at events and conferences, in a speaking capacity where possible.

Do you have the following knowledge and experience?

Excellent writing and editing skills tailored to a variety of audiences.

2+ years of experience working in research, policy analysis, economics, or a related position.

A degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social sciences, Economics) or equivalent professional and/or lived experience.

Ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative data.

Strong knowledge of qualitative research methods, and/or applying intersectionality to research methods.

Experience with policy analysis and policy recommendations.

Location:
Anywhere in Canada. Candidates must have Canadian work authorization.

Term:
Full-time, 12 months with benefits (Canada Life), paid vacation/personal time, and RRSP contribution.
