Python Tech Lead – Portugal (Brazil) Job at Wunderman Thompson Commerce and Technology – Rio de Janeiro, RJ
As the Python Tech Lead you will work closely with the entire technology team to drive innovation and to bring new features and functionality to both internal and external customers whilst supporting their continued growth. You will be a specialist in the creative and technical aspects of website creation and delivery. You will understand business requirements, designs technical solutions, but also plan the support of applications and guide other members of the team.
What you’ll be doing:
Ensure client systems are built to a high level of quality, usability, and stability
Ensure the development enhances the processes to manage change, versioning, and deployment
Ensure functional requirements are correctly translated and interpreted to create robust and clear code
Ensure traceability of requirements throughout life cycle
Define and ensure adherence to application engineering guidelines, processes and procedures
Creating appropriate documentation for requirements, procedures, processes, and revisions
Providing direction and guidance to team members on technical issues
Informing and influencing team approach to new standards & best practices.
Supporting the continual development
Leading the approach, design, development, and architecture for Django implementations
Making major architectural decisions related to security, reliability, performance, and scalability of the application
What we want from you:
Experience Leading a cross functional team
Production experience with Python.
Knowledge of Django framework.
Experience with SQL (MySQL to be precise).
Production experience with AWS services – EC2, RDS.
Automatization skills – Terraform, Jenkins.
Linux and apache2 server administration skills.
Experience with Suit Django
Experience writing readable, maintainable, modular and extendable code
Experience writing documentation
Experience working in an Agile environment.
Experience in Unit testing
Bachelor’s degree in any computer related field or equivalent experience.
Ability to work under pressure and deliver result in a fast-paced environment within tight deadline
Product development focused
