Clark Builders is hiring a Proposal Coordinator to join our growing team in Calgary. In collaboration with the Project Development team, located across our various offices, this role will be responsible for all aspects of the creation and delivery of our proposals assisting Clark Builders in securing new work. The successful candidate must be a strong collaborator with excellent communication and organizational skills, highly creative with the ability to meet multiple deadlines while thriving under pressure.

Reporting to: Director, Project Development
Duties & Responsibilities:
75% Proposal Coordination
Lead and manage your assigned proposal pursuits through the full proposal cycle
Regularly facilitate proposal planning meetings, review RFQ/RFP documentation, develop written copy, when necessary, that is focused, creative, articulate, and compliant, while managing various areas of proposal content
Create visually engaging RFx responses, powerful presentations, and arm the team with the information they need to perform their best at interviews and client meetings
Ensure Clark Builders written copy conveys a unified voice, follows established standards, and projects our brand identity
Maintain up-to-date and accurate project information for the proposal database that captures project details for use in proposal submissions, resumes, project profiles, presentations, and other reference material
Research client and project information to provide thorough and thoughtful proposals that will resonate with clients
Help maintain corporate sales databases
Collaborate with a dynamic and geographically dispersed project development, proposal, and marketing team to contribute to departmental goals aligned with project development objectives, goals, and targets
Positively represent Clark Builders in all internal and external interactions and enhance the organization’s reputation
25% Marketing Support (flexible to adjust based on candidates qualifications)
Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications Manager and Corporate Development team to drive goals aligned with organizational objectives and targets
Plan, design and execute innovative and on-brand collateral such as infographics, posters, presentations, newsletters and brochures
Provide graphic design support for corporate initiatives, working closely with departments such as Human Resources, Safety, the Executive Leadership Team, and CB University
Brainstorm and develop ideas for creative marketing campaigns
Assist with managing the organization’s social media platforms by brainstorming creative content and postings when required
Assist with video production including shoot organization, copywriting, and post-production visual effects
Proofread, fact check and validate all information to ensure flawless accuracy on all marketing and communications materials before external distribution
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in business, marketing, communications, design, or related field is preferred
2+ years’ experience in a related field, preferably gained from working in the Architectural, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry, Professional Services or a broader B2B background, specifically working on proposal creation
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams), and Adobe Creative Cloud software (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premier Pro, After Effects)
Experienced in and passionate about digital media. Comfortable working in Hubspot, Wordpress, SharePoint, customer relationship management (CRM) tools such as Salesforce, as well as social channels such as LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and Yammer.
Ability to prioritize, self-schedule, and operate under tight and competing deadlines while working with colleagues from various departments, business units, market sectors, and location
A love of writing and the ability to convey messages in a clear, concise, and compelling manner. Strong oral and written English language communication skills are mandatory
Demonstrates initiative, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and adapt
Superior attention to detail, highly organized, and an ability to work as part of a team and resourcefully with minimal supervision
An ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
