Plusgrade is searching for an enthusiastic, delivery-focused, product minded individual to join our growing team as a Product Owner. A day in the life; You will sit alongside your engineering team and work hand-in-hand with product managers to understand and convey business needs. Writing user stories, working with designers, ensuring your team understands the ‘what’ and ‘why’ while collaborating with tech leads to develop the right solutions. All the while bringing innovation to market among our growing community of travel partners. The ideal candidate is a resourceful self-starter, who takes ownership, moves fast, and holds themselves accountable for delivering industry leading products and user experiences.
Delivery Focus: Work alongside our engineering team to deliver on our product roadmap that defines a pathway to our company goals. Make strong product and prioritization decisions through that are aligned with our goals.
Detail & Design: Write the requirements and acceptance criteria for new features, partner launches, and enhancements to Plusgrade’s passenger and partner-facing products, and Plusgrade’s internal program management tools. Participate in our Agile/Scrumban delivery process, including daily stand-up, grooming, planning meetings, and retrospectives. Work with the design team to convey user needs and influence the creation of our product.
Product Ambassador: Work with our commercial teams and partners to answer product questions and solve for product needs, help optimize product usage, build testing plans, and bring new programs to market. Be a trusted advisor and expert of our product capabilities.

Phenomenal communicator: Prepare crisp product-related documents and release notes that are easily understood by technical and non-technical users, including but not limited to user stories, feature documentation, and product overviews.

Customer Savvy: Collaborate with our travel industry partners, “Partner Success” managers, and product managers, to understand our user, create personas, and build the best solution to cater to their needs.
Data-Driven: Understand our key performance metrics and lead the delivery of improvements targeted at error reduction, delivery efficiency, and revenue growth. Proactively explore data to identify opportunities. Shape our business intelligence tools and data visualization. Measure our success.
3+ years experience in a B2B2C or SAS based product lead organization
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university, or equivalent experience
Experience working with eCommerce, mobile apps, white label solutions, payment gateways, revenue management and/ or API integrations valuable
Experience and knowledge of airline and travel industries considered an asset
Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
Very strong communication skills in English – written, verbal and a knack for building relationships
Experience writing user stories, negotiating, defining acceptance criteria, and prioritizing engineering efforts based on multiple inputs
Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies, Jira, Confluence, Scrum, and Kanban is a plus
Experience preparing easy to read and visually pleasing documentation, presentations and product overviews
Data-driven, familiarity with data visualization tools and the structures behind them
Experience working with clients
Knowledge or familiarity with Excel, SQL, HTML, CSS, XML
A passion for or experience working in the airline or travel industry is a plus!
May require the ability to travel globally
