Mission and Role Overview

The mission of the Paid Search Executive is to drive our expanding Paid Search efforts by ensuring our current multi-country and language accounts are following best practice and are generating positive ROI whilst proactively looking for and trialling new opportunities in order to increase reach.

Working closely with the Paid Media Manager and the wider team, you will contribute to defining Milexa’s approach to Paid Media so that the business is able to expand its reach holistically across all paid channels. This role also requires close collaboration with our International & eCom Teams to work towards shared revenue targets and to create a consistent marketing campaign presence.

You will be working on a number of both English and foreign language paid search accounts covering various territories, both on Google Ads and Bing platforms. You will take ownership of the day to day running and optimisation of the accounts and will constantly be looking for ways of improving and expanding our activity whilst achieving ambitious revenue and GP targets.

You’ll be proactive in contributing to the success of the department, working closely with the wider team on defining a Paid Search roadmap that is in line with the company’s vision and targets.

Role Outcomes & Goals

  • Compete all engine tasks within assigned timeframes, helping ensure accounts are achieving monthly GP targets
  • Independently define and run testing plan and produce final reports accordingly, ensuring we’re always testing and learning in order to maximise account performance
  • Work with external resources to rebuild paid search and shopping account structure in line with new best practice and business need
  • Assist in developing the short and long term strategy for paid search using external and internal resources
  • Collaborate closely with the eComm and International teams to help increase paid conversion rate in both english speaking and foreign language markets

Role Responsibilities

  • Independently run our Paid Media engine (daily account optimisation) for Search and Shopping campaigns across Google and Bing
  • Ensure all accounts are optimised according to Google best practice and our own revenue targets
  • Keep up to speed with new Google products and test, report and roll out accordingly
  • Work to expand Paid Search reach while ensuring we’re matching or bettering target GP
  • Produce regular performance reports and forecasts whilst ensuring Revenue/GP targets are hit at all times
  • Continuously test & learn in order to improve customer experience and maximise ROI
  • Work closely with international marketing team to improve paid search performance in our foreign language markets
  • Work closely with eCommerce team to improve the conversion rate of paid search traffic to the site
  • Communicate and collaborate with the Development team as required to implement any technical changes/fixes which will help maintain or improve paid search activity

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years experience in Paid Search & Shopping advertising (Google Ads and Bing) (required)
  • Google Ads certified (required)
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to pull reports using tools such as Excel to show and interpret data in order to inform decision making (required)
  • High levels of self-awareness and the ability to manage own workload effectively (required)
  • Strong sense of ownership and responsibility in carrying out BAU and project work (required)
  • Strong commercial awareness to ensure your work falls in line with the needs of the business (required)
  • Experience running Display and Paid Social activity (desirable)
  • Working experience in Google Analytics and the ability to interpret data in a meaningful and action-oriented way (required)
  • Basic experience in project management and the ability to see projects through from start to finish whilst collaborating with other teams and team members (required)
  • Relevant university degree (desirable)
  • Fluency in a (European) foreign language (desirable)
