Oracle HCM Cloud Technical Consultant

Work you’ll do

As a Gold-level member of the Oracle Partner Network and an Oracle Cloud Excellence Implementer (CEI), Cloudworks needs thought leaders like yourself to help pave the way for our clients and our Cloud service line development. For our clients, our Oracle Cloud professionals reduce cost and support innovation at the enterprise level by managing business requirements and leading the functional design, prototyping, and process design stages of Oracle Cloud implementations. Responsibilities will include:

Client Management: Manage day‑to‑day interactions with executive clients, sponsors, project managers, and team members

Delivery: Manage and deliver components of client engagements that identify, design, and implement technology and creative business solutions for large companies. Responsibilities include, among others, identification of business requirements, functional design, process design, prototyping, testing, training, and providing post-go-live support.

Business Development: Develop and maintain contact with decision makers at key clients; participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process; contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies.

People Development: Perform role of mentor; provide input and guidance into the staffing process; actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities; provide leadership and support for delivery team members and staff.

Eminence: Develop thought leadership to share insights and points of view with existing and potential clients.


For this role, we are looking for candidates who are able to:
Work with the Cloud Implementation Project Manager and Technical Manager to execute all technical development activities to meet defined scope and milestones

Coordinate and execute all Cloud technical development activities including Conversions, Integrations, Fast Formulas and Reports

Develop Integrations, Fast Formulas and BIP Reports

Coordinate and support conversion mapping document creation and execution

Assist in the development and management of detailed technical deployment cut-over plans

Work directly with clients to manage HCM Cloud technical integrations

Provide Oracle HCM Cloud technical consulting services by acting as a subject matter expert and leading clients through the entire cloud application services implementation life-cycle for Oracle HCM Cloud projects

Complete tasks efficiently and in a timely manner

Interact with the project team members responsible for developing reports, interfaces, data conversion programs, and application extensions

Share knowledge to continually improve implementation methodology for Oracle HCM Cloud projects

Work on Rel 12 and upwards

Access and assess impacts on Oracle’s quarterly release


Oracle Cloud HCM Processes and System knowledge

Experience working on technical work streams for Oracle HCM Cloud Global Implementations

Minimum of two (2) successfully delivered Cloud HCM Projects in a HCM Technical Consultant role

Proficient on Microsoft Office Tools, specifically PowerPoint, Project and Excel

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Ability to work with executive leaders

Minimum 2-3 years of experience implementing some combination of Oracle HCM Modules such as HR, Benefits, Absences, Time & labor, Payroll, Talent Management, Learning, and Recruiting

Experience reporting to client contacts in addition to on-site, off‑site, and off‑shore functional and technical teams

Must have experience collaborating with clients on business process enhancements

Limited Travel Required (Project Milestone Travel)

A Bachelor’s degree


Lead experience on complex, international, multi-currency, and multi-organization implementations

2-3+ years of consulting experience

Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments within a structured implementation methodology

Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint, etc.)

Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment

Commitment to gaining exposure in multiple industries

An advanced degree or certification in the area of specialization

Two full life-cycle implementations of Oracle HCM Cloud
