Job Description

The Marketing & PR Manager will manage all the day-to-day local Marketing and PR activity for the studio inline with The Mill’s strategic goals. They will be responsible for overseeing local marketing operations, communications and activity designed to drive brand awareness and reinforce The Mill’s position within the industry. The Marketing & PR Manager is crucial to the support of current clients and projects, supporting the Head of Marketing & PR who is focused on new business and sales opportunities and on a global level for marketing of Mill Experience.

Main areas of responsibility:

  • Lead on all Marketing and PR for projects created in the Los Angeles studio
  • Copy write press releases, articles, social posts and website content
  • Develop the LA studio’s social media strategy in line with global strategy and upload content to various digital platforms
  • Manage local award strategy and entries
  • Create content through storytelling, case study films and other forms of messaging
  • Manage The Mill presence at local industry events
  • Manage speaker opportunities for The Mill’s thought leaders at local events
  • Marketing event management
  • Oversee branded collateral in line with group design/styles
  • Internal reporting and debriefing on Marketing activations
  • Build and maintain relationships with media contacts in the tech, digital media and gaming industries
  • Prepare executives for interviews or press opportunities
  • Manage Brand Assistant role, nurture development within Marketing
  • Strategize Intern recruitment to maximize team support

REQUIREMENTS

Skills:
Advanced understanding of PR and Marketing processes

Experience managing internal and external relationships

Excellent written, verbal and copy-editing skills

Solid understanding of social and digital media channels

Commercial insight and enthusiasm for the advertising, VFX and emerging technolgy landscape

Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to build strong relationships and manage stakeholders

Ability to assess and respond at pace to emerging issues across a multitude of media

Proven organizational skills and strong attention to detail

Work well under pressure and thrive managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Self-starter who can demonstrate creative and critical thinking abilities and problem-solving skills

Successful track record running successful multi-platform campaigns

Strong relationships with relevant publications, journalists and brands

Deep knowledge and involvement in the LA Marketing / PR community

Demonstrable ROI of marketing activations executed

Experience:

  • 4+ years experience in a Marketing role
  • Prior manager-level experience
  • Experience in the creative, media, advertising or tech industries
