Job Purpose:
Responsible for supporting the management of marketing finance transactions and associated processes within the marketing team. Enabling the Marketing Managers to deliver their financial plans within the required timescales and within budget

Provide support to Marketing Managers ensuring that plans remain financially compliant

Assist marketing managers with the preparation of plans from a financial perspective

Whilst advising on best practice be prepared to challenge inappropriate use of funds

Processing vendor claims via vendor claim portals, ensuring that all required proof of performance is present and consistent with vendor guidelines

Purchase Order creation for external marketing service providers

Investigation of specific financial transactions dealing with associated queries

Checking cost and revenue postings in SAP to assist with clearing down aged transactions

Communicating process updates across the marketing team

Liaise with an internal shared service marketing finance team located in Barcelona

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Experience of working in a financial / commercial environment is a pre-requisite

Relevant financial experience is sought, financial qualification / education is optional

Must understand the application of accruals and deferrals in relation to the management of the profit and loss and balance sheet accounts

Exposure to monthly / quarterly financial reporting and associated review processes

Able to work effectively in a multi-tasking and pressured environment

Able to work under own initiative and with colleagues located in multiple locations

Able to communicate clearly both orally and in writing

Able to evaluate and make recommendations to enhance the teams operational efficiency

Able to interact openly and directly with others

Able to manage interactions with vendors, suppliers and internal customers

Possess a high degree of numeracy and attention to detail

Experience of working in an IT distribution environment, or Marketing Agency or similar would be an advantage

Good working knowledge of MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word) and ideally SA
