Job Description

Position Summary: The Marketing Assistant at the New York University’s Press will support the Marketing Manager in the exhibits program for major book conferences. The Marketing Assistant will also provide clerical support for the Marketing Department including support for author events, awards, and the creation of marketing materials. Qualifications: Required Education:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Education:
Bachelor’s Degree.

Required Experience:
2 years of office experience.

Preferred Experience:
1-2 years of publishing experience (with Associate’s degree).

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficiency with intermediate-level word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Moderate, accurate keyboarding.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficiency with intermediate-level Microsoft Office and Photoshop. Good writing and proofreading skills. Familiarity with InDesign and/or Quark.
