Team member, and a leader within the Product Marketing department who works cross-functionally across Merchandising, Sales, Finance, Training, and Marketing to create and communicate product value propositions in the form of training, learning materials, sales education, and promotions. Specializes in Branding and product lifecycle management.
Work with Category Managers and provide market requirements and appropriate product positioning and strategy for current and future products by using market research supported by Customer and Market insights, competitor analysis, and on-going visits to customers and noncustomers
Leads cross-functional teams across our operating company’s Sales, Marketing and Merchandizing groups to help optimize our annual promotions, food shows, targeted customer events, and the business review process
Maintains constant and concise communication with both field sales and key suppliers personnel in executing and evaluating the effectiveness of all product-related programs at the field level
Identify and maintain high-level supplier relationships to create and implement joint strategies that will drive profitable growth of Sysco Brand
Manage all documentation about Sysco Brand products and related applications (brochures, promotional leaflets, recipes, specification sheets, presentations, etc) in collaboration with the Marketing team, Merchandising team, and suppliers
Perform other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree required
Master’s degree preferred
7-10 years of B2C or B2B Sales, Merchandising and/or Marketing
5+ years related Food & Beverage, Food Services or Consumer Goods industry experience required
Strong operational discipline skills and able to handle multiple jobs and deadlines.
Detail-oriented and highly organized
Excellent communication skills and ability to identify and resolve problems
Strong understanding of brand management, portfolio management, product lifecycle management and product and loss (P&L) management of brands
Drive for results
Ability to manage multiple projects according to team capacity
Ability to analyze and act, through the interpretation of data in support of marketing operations
Work cross-functionally in analyzing, designing and improving marketing solutions
Develop and provide presentations to various levels of management
Working with matrix teams to drive effective results
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel experience with macros, filters, etc. highly desirable
Ability to document and track project progress
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone to talk and hear.
The employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
