Are you excited about working on logistic transformation initiatives providing state-of-the-art IT solutions in a multicultural environment? Then, this role is for you! We are looking for an IT Project Leader Logistics & Distribution (d/f/m) at Airbus Commercial in Hamburg.

IT within Airbus is a transnational organization mirroring the Industrial landscape. We are organized in Product and Service Lines (PSL) that have End-to-End (E2E) accountability and responsibility for their IT solutions. You will specialize in analytics within the PSL ”E2E Planning & Logistics“. There, you will join the product team “Transport & Distribution management” responsible for the IT solutions supplying the aircraft production at all AIRBUS sites. In close collaboration with our logistics business colleagues we are providing state-of-the-art IT solutions to enable competitive, standardized and robust logistics operations. For this purpose, we have jointly launched several logistics transformation initiatives.

You will be part of an Agile Multi-Functional Team (MFT), designing, implementing and deploying new logistics IT solutions with a special focus on distribution.

Our existing distribution solutions will be replaced by SAP mainly, and cover the flow from warehouse to Point if Use in the plants and assembly lines in all industrial sites of Airbus world-wide.

This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Your tasks and responsibilities

You will conduct in-depth discovery meetings, targeted at understanding, capturing, and identifying the complex business requirements and operational objectives of the customer.

You will identify areas for improvement in business processes providing possible IT solutions compliant with the IT strategy.

You will support the IT Product Manager in the Product/Service Planning based on the customer requirements.

You will produce documentation of current challenges, future requirements, and benefits in a manner appropriate for the customer.

You will define and develop the required specification documents to be reviewed with stakeholders and product team members.

You are going to monitor external business trends in order to better challenge the business requirements.

You will monitor deliverables to be produced by subcontractors (specifications, customizing, testing, …).

You will serve as liaison between product management teams and technical resources during product development and implementation to ensure integrity of the solution delivered.

Desired skills and qualifications

You hold a degree in IT, or a business degree with IT focus

You have several years of implementation experience in Transport and Warehouse Management Systems, preferably SAP EWM, especially distribution

You have a good overview of SAP Supply Chain Management (MM, SD, WM, EWM, S/4HANA, TM)

You are able to customize IT tools and have architecture knowledge, e.g. in SAP logistics

You are able to align IT & Business Strategy

You have good project management skills

You are a team player with good communication and presentation skills well able to take the initiative, finding creative solutions and managing the customer expectations

Experience with third-party logistics or transport companies processes is a plus

You are fluent in English and have a very good command of German
