The Opportunity:
Altus Group has an opportunity for an Internal Communications Specialist to join the Human Resources team for a 12-month contract. This position will be remote/ hybrid working and as such we are flexible on location, however alignment to one of our offices in the Eastern time zone is preferred.
As a key member of the Employee Experience team at Altus Group, you will work in close collaboration with key stakeholders globally across our corporate departments and various lines of business to achieve specific internal communications objectives and drive employee engagement. Reporting to the Senior Director, Employee Experience and Communications, you will be responsible for contributing to and managing the day-to-day execution of Altus Group’s global internal communications program. To be successful in this role you will be a self-starter with superior written and verbal communication skills, exceptional editing skills and possess the ability to manage competing deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and execute on a global internal communications program aligned to overall business strategy and objectives, with a focus on driving employee engagement
Create and manage an editorial calendar and the development of content to drive employee awareness
Write, edit and distribute internal company communications for consistent voice and messaging in keeping with brand and business goals (company emails, executive communications, presentations, etc.)
Manage Altus Group’s intranet, including planning, creating and writing of content
Collaborate with internal stakeholders across the business to source ideas and develop content for a variety of channels (intranet, emails, town halls, etc.)
Launch and implement a new intranet working in collaboration with key stakeholders
Plan, coordinate, promote and execute on employee town halls
Support executive leadership with their employee communications to ensure messaging is aligned to overall business goals
Partner with the Brand & Creative Services team on visual internal communication material
Research trends and implement best practices to ensure highly effective communications
Define, monitor, track, measure and report on impact of all internal communications activities
Experience Required:
Experience working in communications, preferably with a focus on internal communications
Superior written and oral communication skills, and strong business acumen including analytical and organizational planning skills
Experience working with email marketing systems is essential (eg. Pardot, Hubspot, etc)
Outstanding attention to detail
Ability to remain calm under pressure and while managing multiple tasks simultaneously
Demonstrated good judgement, tact and discretion when dealing with confidential and highly sensitive information
Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to build relationships with multiple stakeholders at all levels of the business
Solutions oriented, flexible and adaptive to change
Self-starter with an ability to work independently on assigned tasks
