We need a Head of Product Marketing to join us in Northampton or London.

Joining the Marketing Team this role will be a key link to our growing range of product & data teams which develop digital solutions to serve and understand our customers. They will drive our strategy to deliver a customer-centric mar-comms approach to deliver value throughout the customer lifecycle.

With a market-leading marketing team in place, we require market-leading tools and customer experiences to remain at the forefront of customer acquisition, engagement and retention in this increasingly competitive market.

The role will work with the marketing channel managers to identify development & analytical needs and priorities, build business cases for their progression and liaise with product and data teams for the discovery, testing, deployment and iteration of such solutions.

As a Head of Product Marketing you will:
co-ordinate and collaborate with Product and Data teams to deliver first-class marketing capabilities & campaigns; identifying the marketing mix required and communicating requirements into the channel execution teams

analyse performance, identify trends and opportunities, formulate campaign proposals and dependencies, propose execution methodologies

drive our strategy to deliver customer-centric comms opportunities, understand customer behaviours and make audiences available for new product/services initiatives via product teams and marketing channel specialists

manage the martech capability development requirements and prioritisation for the Simply Business marketing team

work with a newly formed marketing product team to develop new marketing capabilities

manage the eCRM team and strategically develop comms opportunities throughout the whole customer lifecycle, driving incremental revenue and cost efficiencies in execution

ensure suitable fulfilment of all incentive promotions from tracking to delivery

build commercially viable business cases for new initiatives and analyse and communicate performance

Responsibilities include:
be the first point of call for product teams to identify and receive marketing input and support

understand the objectives and strategies of all marketing channels and communicate them to all product teams

agree marketing development priorities with Marketing Product Manager and ensure projects have suitable marketing channel expertise available

ensure proposed solutions deliver achievable ROI and are prioritised accordingly

ensure data and execution capabilities are aligned to strategic requirements with data team

line management of the eCRM team and Product marketing manager and their associated team/personal development

What we are looking for:
strong understanding and experience of digital channel marketing processes and strategies: PPC, SEO, CRM, CRO, Content marketing / CMS, Social (agency or client-side cross-channel experience preferred)

strong understanding of the requirements of marketing platforms and the data and usability considerations when exploring new solutions (CDP, CMS, Analytics, ESP etc)

experience of leading and developing teams, identifying strategic opportunities and approaches, influencing stakeholders and generating buy-in and collaboration

understanding of customer centric lifecycle segmentation approach to audiences, applying consistent CRM strategies to them and the supporting technology required

a commercial and analytical approach – understanding of marketing KPIs and applying them to performance forecasting and analysis

understanding of the Agile development process and principles

experience of optimisation testing frameworks and continual improvement via Build, Measure, Learn approaches

understanding of the MarTech platform landscape and their various applications

strong organisational and communications skills and management of multiple stakeholders
