Job Description

The Digitas Media Team delivers media services to clients across Display, Programmatic, Paid Social, Paid Search, SEO and Affiliates across teams in Edinburgh and London. The team works with a broad range of clients varying from retail to travel and B2B.

Our mission is to create wonderful digital experiences by connecting media with data, technology and creative to win in the moments that count.

Group Media Directors are responsible for leading the major accounts within Digitas Media on a day-to-day basis. They are some of the most senior & influential roles in the department, taking accountability for driving all Digitas Media (& virtual/partner) resources to achieve our strategic agency & client goals, assuming commercial responsibility for growth, inspiring, directing & mobilizing the Digitas matrix teams to excel.

They operate alongside their peers: the Practice Leads (Search, Social, DVA, Affiliates, Commerce & SEO) to form the wider media leadership team (currently 10 individuals).

The GMD role develops trust-based senior client relationships based upon impeccable client service & delivery; mobilisation of diverse teams (composed of direct reports in London & Edinburgh, senior specialist expert teams, our excellent implementational resources in Gurgaon & linking-up offline partner teams across Publicis Media).

Qualifications

Integrated media account leadership: several years running large on-&-offline media accounts

Experience running multi-market accounts, setting clear expectations & motivating local markets to provide a consistent cross-market service

Excellent client consulting skills, proven ability to build senior trust-based client relationships

Team leadership: direction-setting, influencing skills to mobilise & connect disparate agency skillsets around a singular shared development focus

Experience in discerning & pushing for strategic, planning & executional excellence from the wider team. The GMD needs to know what specialist excellence looks like & how to mobilise the resources around them to do the best work of their lives collectively.

Excellent time-management skills, being able to effectively prioritise vs complex demand, delegate against deadlines, reactive to client demand & proactive to get ahead of them

Commercial acumen & reporting: at Digitas we believe that sustainable growth is achieved via mutually beneficial & transparent commercial development with our clients.

Gravitas & experience negotiating with mid-level clients around SLA delivery, commercial terms, performance reviews & timely briefing/media approvals.
