About Your Next Company

Our client is a design and digital innovation agency for start-ups and businesses looking to grow with technology as part of their future. Combining their expertise in strategy, design and marketing, they partner with brands to create experiences people love to talk about and build products people cannot imagine living without.

Founded in 2018, the team has been continually growing year on year and they are now looking for an aspiring Graphic Designer to join the team in Clayton.

Why You Want To Work Here

As soon as you walk through the door, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from print and social media content, through to UX design and videography. You won’t just be designing one-off concepts, but creating a range of designs that fall within a wider marketing strategy that has an impact on the businesses you’ll work with.

While you will enjoy the autonomy of the role, you will work with a Managing Director who wants to see you apply what you have learnt, and perhaps more importantly, help you develop an impressive portfolio. Also, given you are studying, the flexible work hours will fit around your schedule.

About You

You are a Graphic Design student with a diverse portfolio to showcase your creativity and design capabilities.

As a designer you pride yourself on your knowledge of colour theory and have a key eye for detail that allows you to see when margins are pixels out of line. This has translated into designs that are digestible and visually appealing to users. While you are confident in your work, you also understand that design can be subjective and sometimes you need to adapt your creativity to deliver to a client’s need.

Your passion for graphic design means the learning never stops. Whether it is keeping up with the latest industry trends or the countless Adobe Suite updates, you are constantly on the lookout for information or techniques that can enhance your design.

About the Role

Reporting to the Managing Director, you’ll add value to the company and the wider marketing team by:

Designing a range of collateral such as letterbox drops, coupons, business cards, flyers, posters, brochures for physical activations such as events.

Work on filming and videography for recorded video projects.

Creating digital assets – from illustrations and graphics to vector images – to support online paid advertisements, social media and EDM marketing campaigns.

Working with the marketing team and clients to create designs that align with the overall marketing strategy.

Working on branding material and following existing style guides for companies as well as doing brand refreshes.

Selection Criteria

To be successful in this exciting opportunity, you’ll need to bring:

Experience with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator or Canva

An existing portfolio that demonstrates your skills
