Global Marketing Data & Analytics Manager, MBD Job at Thermo Fisher Scientific – Field Based
You’ll work directly with Global Marketing Communications Managers, wider Product and Regional Marketing teams, Sales operations, Digital Marketing, Analytics and Information Technology teams to tailor processes as needed while improving process alignment with Group and Corporate functions. Additionally, you’ll partner with a broad set of partners across the organisation to find opportunities, trends, share standard methodology with global and regional marketing with the goal of driving demand and return on investment enabled through collaborative governance, technology and insights.
This position interacts with varying levels of internal and external customers building a data vision for the marketing leaders and teams.
This is a full time, permanent 100% remote working opportunity to be based within Europe.
What will you do?
You’ll proactively align with the Divisional Leadership Team (DLT) and Marketing Leaders to understand their business strategy and needs for targeted data to ultimately drive growth. This is a unique hybrid marketing opportunity that will encompass Marketing Data Management Strategy and Marketing Analytics and Reporting in parallel.
Marketing Data Management Strategy
- Establish and lead our strategy to process, collect and report data across marketing channels/sources, understand customer behaviours and profile data to find trends that can inform marketing planning decisions.
- Define and build our infrastructure to enable all data input and output to be available centrally and provide robust analytics and develop impactful marketing.
- Build positive relationships with SDG partner functions to align divisional business needs to group or corporate governance.
- Influence where appropriate to ensure decision fit the division’s needs.
- Establish data infrastructure and lead a newly formed Marketing Data Operations function and optimise the utilisation of the data available, this will involve:
- Set up of tracking (lead source creation)
- Data pulls (e.g. e-mail lists, account lists, etc.)
- Data processing & routing (from all marketing sources – e.g. Events, web forms, etc.)
- Automate process of lead routing to sales teams to derive and track associated $ revenue
- Optimise our use of the following systems & platforms – Eloqua, SF.com, CDW, and other production and analytics tools in use by division (Mars, Claravine, Adobe analytics)
- Own divisional customer segment profiling and data intake to build and optimise targeting and customer experience for marketing campaign planning purposes.
- Ensure GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) compliance for all marketing campaigns to continue to build trust and bring transparency to our customers on our marketing interactions
- Drive Data health – management and optimisation of all data health initiatives [data acquisition (organic and external growth), data cleansing, customer life cycle, velocity of leads, data profiling to fulfil business strategies.
- Improve operational efficiencies and increase value generation from the data asset.
- Lead our technical advancement and future proof systems, process roadmaps
- Collaborate with our partners to drive the implementation of the longer-term data capabilities (systems, processes, etc.).
- In time lead, and mentor a newly established Marketing Data Insight & Analytics group
- In time, control and lead Marketing Insight & Analytics budget
Marketing Analytics and Reporting
- Lead the Marketing Analytics reporting strategy and with marketing and divisional leadership establish a quarterly cadence for analytics reporting reviews with divisional and marketing leadership.
- Partner with IT colleagues, provide campaign analytics (project and tactical), ensuring data output in one central place, easily accessible and digestible.
- Deliver on ongoing tactic performance to continuously advise our marketing decisions
- Own overall campaign and marketing performance reporting
- Provide insight based on data outputs to drive annual campaign planning & optimise existing campaign
Who we are looking for:
- Has a strong background in marketing data management gained within a fast paced, matrix environment
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills with the ability to analyse trends and pull reports for data driven decision making
- Has the ability to translate business data strategy into marketing data strategy while ensuring marketing objectives are being met
- Leadership experience including mentoring, leading others indirectly as part of a project or direct leadership
- Proficiency in Salesforce, Eloqua and Claravine, Adobe analytics from a marketing perspective
- Knowledge of using tools such as SAP or similar for reporting on revenue
- Willingness to learn, adapt and has a flexible approach as this role will involve establishing new processes
