Job SummaryLuxury jewelry company looking to hire an E-Commerce Category Merchandiser Lead to oversee a category specific e-commerce experience strategy. This individual will collaborate with category merchants to understand business objectives and partner with marketing to execute a digital experience to drive engagement and conversion. Your work will support optimized search and browse functionalities, including content and continuous site navigation refinement. A close partnership with Digital Product and UX teams will be essential to developing new merchandising tools and features to support site merchandising and story-telling goals. This position will need someone who is confident in taking ownership of their assigned areas of responsibilities with guidance from their manager, but who is resourceful in seeking out answers and solutions on their own.

Duties IncludeWeb Merchandising

Partner with merchants, marketing, and content teams to plan and execute seasonal marketing & merchandising features based on key brand stories, seasonality, and forecasts to deliver a strong customer experience across e-commerce touchpoints (site, email, performance mkt, etc.).

Partner with manager on the merchandise site plan strategy and execute on page layouts, content, and product placement to drive category engagement.

Evaluates, maintains, and executes effective product categorization, sort orders, site search filtering, A/B testing, and categorization strategies that facilitate efficient search and browsing, reinforce a positive brand experience and support effective visual merchandising.

Manage and maintain product recommendations (upsell/cross-sell/personalized) for category.

Manage third-party relationships and tools as it relates to merchandising functions.

Partner with Design and Creative on requests for digital-first content and storytelling material including product visuals, campaign photography and enhanced static and video content.

Collaborate with Product and UX/UI on opportunities for user experience improvements as well as new features, tools, and merchandising enhancements.

Reporting & Analytics

Leverage reporting and web analytics tools to analyze site experience and product presentation performance to act as needed to enhance website conversion and revenue as it relates to site merchandising.

Communicate site merchandising data, insights, and opportunities to cross-functional partners to partner on solutions and improvements for site merchandising presentation.

Perform regular competitive analysis to stay at forefront of best-in-class site merchandising, trends, and site presentation.

Maintain awareness of category financials, site metrics, customer insights, and marketing results to provide actionable insights and surface new ways to drive conversion.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

3-5 years’ experience in ecommerce/site merchandising

Previous experience with Salesforce/Demandware

Must be proficient MS Office Suite, including intermediate to advanced Excel

Confidence in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Understanding of web analytics and key metrics

Proactive and problem-solving mindset

Must have strong attention to detail

Ability to build strong internal and external relationships
