About the Role:
This is an outstanding opportunity to be part of an organisation that has meaningful purpose in the community and develop your leadership skills. Based in Hamilton, this full-time ongoing position will lead a team that is passionate about service to the community.

This role requires a business manager with the ability to manage a high performing team. Reporting to the Assistant Chief Fire Officer you will demonstrate experience as a successful team leader, with excellent communication and engagement skills. Key to this role is your ability to deliver high level customer support, corporate outcomes and strong partnerships and relationships across CFA business units, sector partners and external stakeholders.

Working closely with the Regional Business Manager and other District Business Managers within the Region you will ensure there is consistent development and implementation of initiatives and processes across districts. As a member of the District Leadership Team, you will provide advice on a range of complex issues and contribute to the strategic and business planning for the district.

About You:
The person we are looking for will be confident, empathetic and possess strong leadership, management, finance and business planning skills and experience. Tertiary qualifications in business administration or management will be highly regarded, but not essential.

Importantly you will have strong people skills with extensive experience in business administration/office management, business support services & resource management, business planning and budgeting and risk management.

Further to this, the successful applicant will have:
Demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to think laterally and significant experience in the resolution of complex issues.

Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills including the ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders.

Highly developed organisational skills within a complex environment together with demonstrated skills in establishing priorities and meeting strict timelines.

Demonstrated ability to develop and manage business systems and processes to enhance service delivery capability and outcomes.
