DIRECTOR OF CNCS RECRUITMENT & COMMUNITY PROGRAMMING

Full Time, Starting Immediately

The Director of Recruitment & Community Programming is responsible for engaging local community and making the CNCS name recognizable as a quality institution that is highly regarded. This role seeks to fulfill CNCS’s mission of being the preferred faith based elementary school in the region. This role involves brainstorming and creating ideas for promoting the value of the school, and conceptualizing programming for CNCS’s Forest Garden, advancing its presence in the community, with an aim to find appropriate candidates for student enrollment. The overarching goal of this position is to generate robust, ongoing enrollment in the primary school, securing its ongoing success, as well as creating a solid foundation for a thriving secondary school, thereby better utilizing Carmel’s assets and services. This position is performed primarily remotely, with onsite presence conducting tours, establishing relationships and immersing in the school’s culture. The role will also involve some in-person community engagement, networking and physical placement of ads, etc.

Key responsibilities and expectations include but are not limited to the following:

  • Creating a vision as to how to effectively and creatively promote and market CNCS to surrounding community
  • Communicating vision to the Carmel Board of Directors and school staff
  • Creating campaigns using various media and avenues to spread awareness about CNCS and extol its merits
  • Managing inquiries to the school
  • Providing onsite tours and facilitating meetings with interested parents and the administrator and pastoral staff
  • Developing and creating opportunities for outdoor learning and programming in CNCS’s new Forest Garden
  • Brainstorming and creating content for programming that will bring more people onto the grounds and engage them in meaningful ways [e.g. preschool programming, summer camps, PD day camps and other community day programming such as maple tree tapping, bird calling, tree and plan identification and more].
  • Create innovative content for the school website and maintain regular updates on website
  • Create new, professional-looking pamphlets and handbooks for the school

Key Qualifications and Requirements

· A demonstrated ability and experience in marketing and/or community-
engagement and community building preferred

· A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related role

· Must be a self-starter and a ‘go-getter’

· Must be highly creative with ideas and vision

· Must be able to use tech skills to produce their creative vision and maintain
website

· Should be a “Growth-oriented”

· Must be genuinely interested and able to “mine” the concepts of what CNCS is
all about, and regularly check for alignment, prior to creating vision for its
promotion

· A New Church background is an advantage and is preferred

Salary: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
