Digital Marketing Executive

Flourishy, a start-up online garden centre, is looking for a self-starting Marketing Manager with SEO experience to join our small team. We are looking for someone who is willing to get stuck in with all aspects of our business, you must be happy doing things outside of your specific remit such as helping to pack customer orders, due to the small size of our team.

This job is perfect for someone who thrives off a busy and everchanging role. The role is split between both of our companies. Flourishy is a brand-new online garden centre – Flourishy.co.uk. First Franchise is a property and concession consultancy, which has been leading the field within the horticultural industry for over 20 years.

You will be working directly with our Directors, directly guiding the vision and direction of our online business. This is a new role, so it is perfect for someone who really wants to make it their own.

Required Expertise & Experience

• Clear experience, directly in SEO is required for this job
• Experience with Google Ads would also be a real bonus
• Proven experience writing articles and blog posts
• A deep understanding of marketing, specifically in the digital sphere
• An understanding of analytics and standard marketing metrics or tracking methods
• A basic understanding of Instagram and Facebook adverts
• A good understanding of how Wordpress website work
• Strong understanding and efficiency in using various computer tools, such as documents, spreadsheets and email tools
• Exceptional communication skills
• Happy to work within a small office team

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Running and coordinating the marketing output of our businesses
• Working with the Director to develop a marketing plan for Flourishy social media and working with them to implement it, although this will not be solely your responsibility
• Working on the SEO of our website, to organically increase website hits
• Strategically planning paid for adverts on a range of platforms, analysing results and finding the most efficient strategy
• Creating and delivering regular performance reports
• Writing blog posts for our consultancy service website
• Contacting trade press with success stories for our consultancy business
• Creating targeting material for our sales team
• Conducting yourself with openness and motivation in all aspects of the role
• Adhere to deadlines, communicating clearly when deadlines do need to change (and why)
• Helping with anything adhoc that might need to be done, including packing customer orders

Daily Activities

• Be present during the hours of 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. This role is mainly office based with opportunities to work from home on Monday and Friday depending on the business needs on a weekly basis
• Conduct yourself in a professional, yet friendly, manor
• Keep a clean and tidy working environment
• Travel to meetings and events in the UK when required

Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 (depending on experience)
