Our in-house Creative Team service a range of stakeholders in our organisation, delivering a variety of work, from major national brand campaigns to always-on digital assets and everything in between.
As the Creative Services Manager, your purpose will be to set our Creative Team, and their stakeholders, up for success by creating, implementing and managing operational processes and workflows that create a productive and efficient environment.
You will manage a diverse team of creatives, consisting of designers and copywriters, and work with our external creative agencies and freelancers, to ensure assets are produced on time, to brief and are of the highest quality.
Who You Are
We are looking for a seasoned Creative Services Manager to bring their extensive project and workflow management experience to our business and act as the ‘front door’ to our Creative Team. You will be excited by the opportunity to step in and shape our ways of working when it comes to production workflows and to make this role your own. You will need to have:
A minimum of 10 years experience managing an in-house or agency based creative studio, in a traffic control or studio manager position.
Extensive experience balancing and prioritising a shifting workload.
Strong problem solving capability, you are able to bring different stakeholder groups together to assess competing priorities and work towards a resolution that is in the best interest of the organisation.
Exceptional and confident communication skills, you will proactively and promptly flag any scheduling or capacity issues, as well as provide updates and reports that demonstrate the output and capacity of the team.
Exceptional time management, project management and organisational skills.
A foundational understanding of creative strategy and production process.
Experience project budgeting for all internal and external resources and third party suppliers.
Experience with project management tools, such as Jira is a bonus
Familiarity with design software applications, including Adobe Suite and Figma
Experience developing and mentoring teams
In a typical day you should expect to:
Be the first point of contact for the Creative Team, managing the creative workflow, monitoring capacity and allocating resourcing, including external agencies
Liaise with stakeholders across the business to define projects and understand timelines to establish clear forecasts and project roadmaps
Manage, mentor and champion our designers and copywriters (including goal setting, performance review, hiring decisions, team culture, etc.) and support their career development to ensure job satisfaction and to identify and develop bench strength
Support and further develop the implementation of seamless processes for internal and cross-team workflows, briefing documents and project timelines
Partnering with the design leads and marketing stakeholders, you will play an active role in helping maintain our creative guidelines, by ensuring all outputs follow our established visual identity and tone of voice guidelines
Build and maintain relationships with key agencies and creative partners.
