Creative Director Job at Premier Press Portland, OR



Premier, a Creative Production Company, is looking for a Creative Director to lead our team. This individual will lead and work side by side with the internal creative team to manage, create projects, creative direction, concepting, and support on a day-to-day basis. This person will also work with external clients, presenting designs and understanding their needs. The Creative Director is an extension of our sales team and will work directly with the sales staff on concept development, presentations and R&D. This person will be responsible for recruiting, onboarding, managing growth on the team as well as third party design firms and other outside vendors/partners as needed. This is an on-site position that is based in Portland, OR.

Essential Functions:

· Manage, mentor and develop internal creative team

· Work directly with account managers to generate ideas, concepts and presentations

· Lead creative sessions for project kick offs, both internally and externally

· Client presentations

· Manage multiple projects from concept through completion

· Advise clients on strategies to reach a particular audience

· Identify and outsource vendor partners

· Work directly with CMO on internal strategies and branding

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with all levels of staff, customers, suppliers, and operations

· Demonstrate success handling multiple priorities in an ever-changing environment.

· Good organizational skills

· Ability to work under deadlines

· Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment is essential

· Adobe Creative Suite experience

· Web experience a plus

Minimum Experience and Education Required:

· 10 years of design experience

· Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field

Supervisory Responsibility:

Manage creative team.
