Job Summary:

The Creative Arts Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the quality delivery of arts education and S.T.E.M enrichment opportunities across the Out-of-School Time Programing Division. The Coordinator will serve as a lead teaching artist, and will both implement and guide a team of enrichment staff in executing enrichment programs. The Coordinator will work cross functionally to design creative programing, with a focus on skill building, as well as age and stage appropriate exploration of college and career pathways in the arts and S.T.E.M. fields. This position requires work on weekends.

Essential Duties

Leadership and Enrichment Programing

  • Supports the Senior Director by providing management and administrative guidance to enrichment programs
  • Works with the Senior Director to develop data driven student recruitment strategies and manages execution of implementation plans
  • Directs TYA and youth theatre productions, and guides creative teams on each production
  • Supports Senior Director in coordinating contract development and invoices for Independent Contractors
  • Provides oversite to S.T.E.M. Specialist, who is responsible for execution of our Robotics and Tech Team(s)
  • Serves as a resource to Site Directors in integrating enrichment at Out-of-School Time Sites

Family/Community Partnerships

  • Works with Senior Director to develop and implement family engagement strategy for enrichment programs
  • Communicates regularly with parents through CRM communication systems, phone and email
  • Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with local schools, colleges, arts organizations, and other partners
  • Assists the Senior Director in maintaining a visible presence in the community and in the field

Supervision, Administrative/Other

  • Provides training, support, and supervisions to Teaching Artist(s) and STEM Specialist
  • Coordinates enrichment programing that is facilitated by Assistant Site Directors
  • Manages staffing and coverage for enrichment classes, rehearsals, and events
  • Compiles data required for reports on matters related to enrichment and community partnerships
  • Attends mandatory meetings, trainings, as well as special events and activities hosted by the Campagna Center
  • Coordinates planning workgroups, committees and special initiatives within the division
  • Performs other duties, tasks, and projects as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • BA/BFA in Performing Arts and at least 2 years of child/youth program experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to build internal and external relationships quickly
  • Excellent managerial and diplomacy skills
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong ability to leverage analytical insights and create solutions to complex problems
  • Exceptional Project management experience and skills, including ability to catalyze and energize teams with clear plans, accountabilities, and teamwork to efficiently execute
  • Exceptional planning and communication skills
  • Effective verbal and written communicator and able to scale and adapt communications for a variety of audiences
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) software
  • Ability to work both independently and/or with minimal guidance, often cross-functionally
  • Ability to give and receive feedback
  • Strong interest in the mission

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be mobile in an office and classroom environment and able to use standard office equipment
  • Must be able to communicate in verbal and written form, and must be able to travel to site location where children are served

Work environment:

  • Typical office environment with exposure to a minimal noise level
  • School environment with exposure to a medium to loud noise level based on student activities

Pay: $58,000.00 per year
