Full Time, Permanent

Purpose

To provide leadership for ministry to children ages birth – 10 years and their families.

Responsible to

Lead Pastor

Description of duties

• Annual Children’s Ministry Planning – Create a Children’s Ministry annual calendar and strategic plan in line with BCF vision and strategy.
• Children’s Ministry Team Development – Recruit and retain a willing and enthusiastic children’s ministry team to assist in all children’s ministry services, events, and ministry administration.
• Sunday Kids Services – Responsible for the oversight and coordination of all age-appropriate Sunday Kids Services (birth-Grade 5).
• Special Events – Responsible for the oversight and coordination of all Kids Special Events, such as March Break Monday, Summer Kids Camp, Light the Night, and Christmas events.
• Mid-Week Programming – Responsible for the oversight and coordination of age-appropriate mid-week Children’s Programming in cooperation with other BCF mid-week programs.
• Family Care – Provide care and support for families that connect with BCF.

Time requirements

This is a salary position based on 35 hours per week. Overtime will not be paid.

Term

The employment term commences in August 2022. The term will commence with a three-month probation period before permanent status will be considered.

• Work alongside the BCF Staff especially those involved with ministry to children and students.
• Attend appropriate regional and national seminars and workshops as authorized.
• Continuous learning through both formal (Bible school courses as opportunity is given) and informal methods (reading books, listening to podcasts, and other resources for professional development)

• Self-starter—the ability to self-motivate and to persevere in sometimes difficult or thankless tasks.

Salary: From $35,387.00 per year
