We are looking to hire motivated & committed, justice-centered team members to knock on doors and talk to voters for the November 8th Midterm General Election! As a team member, you will engage with voters of color in Tarrant County to mobilize them to the polls! This position is from September 24th to November 8th.

*Please read the following carefully*UFW Electoral Campaign Team role description:Electoral Canvassing Team Member (Fort Worth/Arlington)Perform targeted door-to-door canvassing in assigned, pre-selected communities of voters.Educate community members about what’s at stake in this election, the voting process and endorsed candidates.Distribute educational and candidate support materials door-to-door in pre-selected communities of voters.Participate in training and staff meetings, as assigned.Document all required information into the minivan app, and be able to report back results from the day. (doors knocked, voters talked to, etc.) as required.Document any challenges or obstacles encountered in the field, and be prepared to offer solutions and workarounds to overcome them.Other duties, as assigned.Must not work for other candidates during employment.Ability to work the entire following schedule, which includes evenings and weekends. Must be flexible for any changes due to weather, unforeseen circumstances, etc. Shift times will be between 10am-7:30pm, but may vary due to Early Voting, Get Out The Vote (GOTV) week, or other needs.

Humility, comfort and excitement about speaking to new people and building long term relationships.Excellent listening skills and the ability to maintain a structured conversation when talking to community.Ability to work in and keep a safe team environment.Willingness to unlearn capitalist work practices and grow collectively with team for a human dignity centered work space.***Must feel comfortable canvassing alone, and also in the evening hours.Willingness and ability to work safely in outdoor weather- heat, rain, cold.***Must have a smart phone with reliable internet to load data to perform work.***Must have your own reliable car, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance.Drivers must have basic mapping skills to get out to the assigned community in an efficient manner- mapping programs on phones are recommended.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Willingness to learn and openness to feedback for improvement.***Must have received a full vaccination dose and be able to provide proof of vaccination.***Must adhere strictly to all COVID-19 precautions including, but not limited to: wearing a mask, using hand sanitizer to keep clean in the field, keeping at least six feet distance from others at all times.Agree to community agreements to keep community and staff safe.
